Simmons Center’s Funding Requests
Please request funding by completing the appropriate form:
Summer Practicum Funding Request Form (due April 15, 2026)
Projects and Courses Funding Request Form (due 2 weeks after the start of semester, budget required)
Funding available to Public Humanities Students from the Simmons Center:
Professional Development/Conference Funding
- Up to $2,000 per academic year, to be used between September 2025 - June 2026 on professional development like conferences, professional memberships, online webinars, and other professional networking and development opportunities. Students must submit funding request form and have it approved prior to incurring expenses. Only pre-approved expenses will be reimbursed.
- Students graduating in May 2026 must use the funds and submit receipts for reimbursements no later than May 15, 2026 to allow processing prior to Commencement. Student reimbursement will not be possible when the enrollment status changes to inactive after graduation.
Summer Practicum Funding
- Up to $3,000 to offset 2026 summer practicum expenses
- Submit request by April 15, 2026
Projects and Courses Funding
- Up to $200 towards projects
- Submit request and budget by the end of the second full week of classes
Reimbursements
- Reimbursement and Funding Request information
- Conference and Travel Reimbursement Form
- General Reimbursement Form (for expenses other than travel/conference)
All expenses must be pre-approved by completing a funding request form (see above). Reimbursements requests must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase date or end of travel. Graduating students must submit all reimbursement requests by May 15 (or at least 2 weeks prior to graduation) to allow processing before their enrollment status becomes inactive.
