Academic Program

The Simmons Center is the academic home for the Public Humanities A.M. (Master’s in Integrative Studies, focused in public humanities). This program provides students with an interdisciplinary exploration of issues surrounding race, decolonial practices and social justice with specific references to cultural work in museums and other cultural organizations.

Additionally, Simmons Center faculty and fellows teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate-level courses related to slavery & justice and the work of the Simmons Center’s research clusters.
