PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Local and national community leaders will come together for a forum on “Racial Profiling in Rhode Island,” hosted by Brown University. Free and open to the public, the event will take place on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 6 p.m. in Rites and Reason Theatre, Churchill House, 155 Angell St.
Sponsored by the Rhode Island Racial Profiling Coalition, Brown University Department of Africana Studies, and the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice, the forum will focus on creating and sustaining a comprehensive community dialogue on racial profiling and how this issue challenges the entire Rhode Island community.
